219.88.224.177(talk·contribs·deleted contribs·filter log·WHOIS·RDNS·RBLs·http·block user·block log) 22 out of 23 of this person's edits have been reverted and they were blocked for a week in March for vandalism. Today, they inserted an attack at Punjab, India so execrable that I skipped right over a message to come here. I came very close to leaving a non-templated, slashing final warning on their page but I held off because I believe that any rational person who considers this utter filth will know this person has earned an immediate, extensive block. City of Silver 00:01, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
Adding: I was wrong to say "22 out of 23" because the only edit from this bottom-feeding garbage User:219.88.224.177 that hasn't been undone was one where they accidentally reverted their own stupid vandalism. Nothing this hateful embarrassment to humanity has ever done has stayed. And hey, @HBC AIV helperbot5: Unless this note compels the responding admin to block for longer, it wasn't necessary. You're a good robot, though. City of Silver 00:28, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
Place requests for new or upgrading pending changes, semi-protection, full protection, move protection, create protection, template editor protection, or upload protection at the BOTTOM of this section. Check the archive of fulfilled and denied requests or, failing that, the page history if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.
Many of the editors who engaged in the recent edit warring were EC ... upgrading to that level of protection would have no effect on them. If that's what prompted this report, the CTOPS designation allows to impose 1RR instead. Would you prefer that? Daniel Case (talk) 21:01, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
Semi-protection: High level of IP vandalism.
141.132.22.23 (talk) 14:25, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. Not as much as these other Indian films reported today. Daniel Case (talk) 21:12, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Very difficult to track the unscrupulous activities like change of data by ips. Admantine123 (talk) 18:10, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
Automated comment: A request for protection/unprotection for one or more pages in this request was recently made, and was denied at some point within the last 8 days.—cyberbot ITalk to my owner:Online 18:11, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
Can you give some diffs of the kind of edits you want protection to prevent? The edit history looks very calm. Daniel Case (talk) 21:53, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin at their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.
To find out the username of the admin who protected the page click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page" which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected please use the section below.
Check the archives if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.
Ideally, requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here.
Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add the appropriate template among {{Edit protected}}, {{Edit template-protected}}, {{Edit extended-protected}}, or {{Edit semi-protected}} to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed.
If the discussion page and the article are both protected preventing you from making an edit request, this page is the right place to make that request. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to post requests.
This page is not for continuing or starting discussions regarding content should both an article and its discussion page be protected. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit you wish to make.
@LordOfWalruses this is not the place. Contentious topics should not be unprotected. 48JCLTALK 12:42, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
@48JCL: Unregistered and non-extended-confirmed editors are allowed to request edits to ARBPIA pages here. —Jéské Courianov^_^vthreadscritiques 15:09, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
The talk page Talk:Israel-Hamas War is protected, therefore edit requests by non-extended-confirmed users land here. That is acceptable, and this request made above is reasonable. The people who actually do participate on that talk page should be reviewing requests here that remain open and haven't been declined for days. ~Anachronist (talk) 20:30, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
So basically, I shouldn’t request an edit here but I should request an edit at the talk page (and the same goes for future edit requests)? LordOfWalruses (talk) 12:40, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
@LordOfWalruses:, it is unusual for talk pages within scope of the WP:PIA remedies to be extendedconfirmed protected (). That normally only happens after a high level of disruption. You can normally submit edit requests to talk pages. Edit requests most likely to succeed are those that are 'Specific, Uncontroversial, Necessary, Sensible' per WP:EDITXY. You can also submit them here if you prefer, there is nothing wrong with that. In fact, I think there are arguments in favor of centralizing all edit requests for WP:PIA to a single location as long as active editors add it to their watchlists (which is probably not the case right now to a large extent). Submitting edit requests to an article talk page obviously means that only a subset of the community who happen to have watch listed that particular page are likely to see it. Sean.hoyland (talk) 12:59, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
Not done this isn't something we can easily do; you probably want to reach out to Ecrusized or others on the file's talk page. Elli (talk | contribs) 23:28, 9 June 2024 (UTC)
I would like to request that... The casualties in Gaza for the Hamas/Gaza side be separated into civilian casualties and militant casualties . Not only would this give a better understanding of the civilian/militant death ratio, but it would also bring the Gazan side in line with the Israeli side (which has civilian and military casualties of the October 7th attack in two different groups). . LordOfWalruses (talk) 19:13, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
Not done there is no consensus source for militant casualties; the Israeli number is given in a footnote. Elli (talk | contribs) 23:24, 9 June 2024 (UTC)

I regularly create new articles until I took a break to focus on work and studies. I have now concluded the studies and have retuned to creating new articles. I am requesting this right to help bring down the large number of articles waiting for reviewers attentions as articles I create will no longer join the queue if this is granted. Ednabrenze (talk) 02:50, 4 June 2024 (UTC)
Not done Your creations are generally ok, no red flags, but they come off a little bare-bones and should probably still be reviewed. Just Step Sidewaysfrom this world ..... today 22:49, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for the comment. You said the articles are generally ok "but they come off a little bare-bones and should probably still be reviewed". Are they policy or guideline breaches? Could you please explain what this mean so that I can learn from it. But if you're referring to the size of the articles, I write based on the material available and what could be supported with reliable independent secondary sources. If there are no policy breaches, I request that you reconsider it. Cheers! Ednabrenze (talk) 05:05, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
Just so you know, Just Step Sideways, I've had a further look following Ednabrenze's request. I didn't get any further than their latest article. I edited the article in small steps so that the edit summaries give a detailed report what needed fixing. Each edit dealt with one to three issues only. In total, I made eighteen edits. Ednabrenze, the expectation is that editors who get autopatrolled are able to consistently produce clean articles that are free of issues. The Charles Okah edits show that you aren't there yet. The entry in the rights log says "May appeal removal with a consensus at WP:AN per current convention." I'm not sure that's actually binding though. Just Step Sidewaysfrom this world ..... today 21:40, 6 June 2024 (UTC)
Looking over the permission, and as "edit-warring" was the rationale, I went ahead and restored the userright, since this is an auto-action and not itself an "active edit". If this ends up also being an issue, any uninvolved admin is welcome to re-remove without contacting me.
As for restoration of other user-rights, just follow whatever the current convention for appeal is. My understanding is that would be a consensus at WP:AN. To find out if perhaps there is some other convention, likely also requires a consensus at WP:AN, so either way, I think WP:AN is likely where such discussions are likely to end up. I hope this helps. - jc37 01:35, 7 June 2024 (UTC)

I've been editing seriously for one year, have 4,300+ edits, I've participated in RMs (including initiating them), and I've never had any behavioral blocks. Zanahary (talk) 00:01, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
Had the perm before, but it inactivity-lapsed a fair while ago and I held off on re-requesting upon my return because I had no need for it at the time. Would appreciate having it again so I can do WP:SWAP-style moves related to taxon articles (typically, either to bring articles in line with WP:MONOTYPICFAUNA and to fix taxon articles where the correct scientific name redirects to an invalid scientific name, but the redirect has post-creation edits.) I've created many biographies and have a good understanding of Wikipedia policies. I've fixed vandalism many times and fixed many biography of living persons violations. RowanJ LP (talk) 15:20, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
I have been editing for around 2.5 years now, with specialised focus on field of entertainment. I also often correct typos or do general fixes on articles of various subjects. I have a good knowledge of wikipedia policies and would like to get this pending changes reviewer rights to broaden by experience and get more expertise of Wikipedia. I have made some very high quality articles (Aston Martin DB9 FA and Aston Martin Rapide at FAC) so I am very familiar with what content is reliable and what is not. I have reverted vandalism (in fact, reverting vandalism was the first edit I made) and whenever i seen vandalism, I take extreme pride in reverting it. Best 750h+ 13:28, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
Hello User:750h+ . Nice seeing you here! From a quick look at your contributions, it seems like you usually don't leave a warning when reverting vandalism nor an semi-automated edit summary. It's very easy to do with tools like WP:Twinkle. Could you start warning editors? —Femke 🐦 (talk) 12:46, 18 May 2024 (UTC)

I have watched listed several article that have been protected as "pending changes" such as Charizard and Woody (Toy Story) and I would love to have an option to accept their edits if its constructive. 🍕Boneless Pizza!🍕 (🔔) 01:27, 18 May 2024 (UTC)
I think I have a decent understanding of Wikipedia's policies. I've monitored recent changes and have mostly reverted vandalism whenever I see it, trying my best to always warn them. I think that being a pending changes reviewer will help me continue to positively contribute to Wikipedia. GoldRomean (talk) 18:15, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
I have been registered for some time now and have recently gotten into more regular editing and monitoring of recent changes and pages that come up in publicity or news to check for currency and any wayward or malicious edits or mistakes. I have a good understanding (and am always learning and improving) of the basic and relevant policies for pending changes reviewer permission. I'd love to help make Wikipedia a better place for everyone by supporting pending reviews! Whisky and more (talk) 11:33, 5 June 2024 (UTC)

Came here due to Wikipedia:Wikipediholism test. Has stopped at least 2-3 counts of vandalism; I have a goal to improve wikipedia and stop even more vandalism as I truly enjoy reading wikipedia as it is very useful and has taught me many things. I am also a member of the Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit. Thehistorianisaac (talk) 04:12, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
Not done You have very little experience with anti-vandalism work. Get some more experience with tools such as Twinkle and Redwarn first. Feel free to come back in a month or so when you have done more anti-vandalism work! Malinaccier (talk) 15:47, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
Hello! I'd like to have rollback rights to revert vandalism quickly. I usually use Twinkle to revert vandalism, but with rollback rights, it will be much faster in the blink of an eye. I've been seeing vandalism occur more frequently for some reason when I look at the "recent changes" logs. I want to help fight off vandalism. It's okay if I don't get it, but I want to have an opportunity to help out. GoodHue291 (talk) 23:58, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
Not done You don't need rollback to undo inappropriate edits. If you're still interested in this tool then please spend at least a month actively patrolling RecentChanges (Twinkle & Ultraviolet can help with that) before reapplying. Also, please ensure that you are consistently warning editors when you revert their edits. Thanks, Fastily 00:00, 9 June 2024 (UTC)

Hi! I guess I would require this for doing certain edits with respect to certain templates, particularly with respect to Indian territories and transport. I have been making edits to templates within the ambit possible, but there are a couple of protected templates which would need additions (E.g. rint updation). So, it will be useful to have this. Thanks! Magentic Manifestations (talk) 11:48, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
I would like to request temporary template-editor userrights on en.wiki primarily to help out with converting templates to be dark mode compatible. :) Sohom (talk) 14:17, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
Done. While I don't normally handle template editor requests, I have enough confidence in you that I'm going to grant this request. I expect, based on what I've seen from you in the past, you'll approach areas you're not familiar with cautiously, carefully, and quickly self-revert if anything isn't quite right.
